Need your opinion

Really busy last weeks with job, house, all... and couldn´t blog at same time that curate treasuires or others.
Today I have a question for all of you that are going to visit me by Promotional Frenzy Team at etsy. I made a new kind of brooch, really funny and lightwear with Hama Beads.
I´m thinking in start listing them as broochs and party favors but I´m not sure that they match with the rest of my shop. I have same doubt with felt brooches... Due to that, do you think I must list them in a second shop??? In this second shop I would add the felt broochs too when they start to expired and the new ones in these styles....

Really doubt... please, let me your comments to give me your opinion about those (the broochs and about open a second shop to give it different style).

(If your shop is not in my list, please give me a message too and I will add you.)

  1. These are very cute! And we know there is a huge market for cute jewelry. Good luck!

  2. I think I would do a second shop because they ARE so different... and very cute btw! I love those pac man ghosts! The only problem with a second shop is that I forget about it! I log on with my main shop and can go days without visiting my other shop and I also forget to list my new items there as well.

  3. I have two shops and it is nearly impossible to keep up with both. I forget what teams go with what shop and it's just to confusing for me. I say, keep it all in one shop. Your reputation as an artist is already established, why not just go with that.

  4. I'd keep these adorable, new items in your current shop. You've already established good traffic there, and that will help the new items be seen. Use the 'Rearrange Your Shop' tool to keep them together.

  5. I only have one shop, and sometimes can't keep up with it! So I understand when people say it is hard to keep up with two. The only reason I would say to open a second shop is that these great new pieces are so different from your fabulous jewelry - and looks like they are geared more towards kids.

  6. I would give them a try, couldn't hurt. Also, can you please add my shop to the Promo Frenzy list here?

  7. I would use your current shop. If you check mine out (leahrhood.etsy.com) I have a wide variety of things and sell a bit of everything. I think that's okay, and it gives your customers more options in one place. I would at least test run in your current store prior to staring up a whole new shop. The brooches are very cute!

P.S. as for your list, I'm missing. Check the current blog list under our team discussions thread to see who should be on it. It is just for the bloggers.... :)

  9. I'd start a second shop because they aren't your normal offering, but link it to your primary shop in the shop announcements.

Could you also add me to the Promo Frenzy list on your blog?

  10. Very cute! I'd keep them in your current shop, just grouped together. They'll be seen that way by your regular customers!

And I'm not on your list but have blogged for the last three weeks with the Promotional Frenzy Team! Really enjoy it, too! I'd love to be added if you want! I am working on my own list for my blog, too! Thanks! I'll be sure to add you!

  11. I struggle with this too. We are always evolving and so is what we make. I wouldn't focus on a new shop but have a spring collection, fall collection... Some kind of category that you can put into your shop that lets you experiment without looking like you are confused and trying to find your craft.

  12. LB, they are really cute. I see they don't fit with your shop, but I wouldn't be able to manage 2 shops. So, I'd think about that.

  13. Why don't you just keep them in this shop and see what happens? They are adorable and would offer even more variety than you have already! :D

  14. I love these beads, when my kids were small I did these with them but nothing this creative. I think they were ironed to keep them together. I would do a second shop and link to the first one. great job!!!

  15. I have been thinking of splitting my shop into two shops because the feathers and stones are so different from the jewelry. Then I think of the work and wonder if it's really necessary. Hard decision. I'll be interested to see what you decide to do.

  16. Very cute Lourdes! As others have said, you are already established in your one shop, I would post them there and mention in your announcement you are starting a kids line and also have a section for them.

  18. This is a personal choice. Some people love to shop at a walmart, a one stop shop for convienence. Others will only shop at speciality stores because usually that means higher quality items.
I think that the new items are different from what you already have, but the colors you are using really go with your other pieces.

It could work either way you prefer :)

  19. These are totally cute- I think a younger customer like my adorable 13 year old niece would absolutely eat them up :)

  21. So cute. I would try your established shop first. If it does not work, you can open a second shop. Good luck.

  22. Your brooches are so cute! But they are very different in style from your current jewelry. I think if you're planning to do a large number of "cutesy" brooches and other jewelry, you should start a new shop, but if you're still experimenting and not sure how much you want to commit, then list them in your current shop.

  23. Yeah...I'm torn. If this is a small line of jewelry, you may just want to keep it in the shop. But if you see yourself doing a lot of this sort of product, then what's the harm in setting up a second shop? (Except all the extra work...)

  24. So cute! I wish I had some advice but I don't think I have enough experience in this area to give an opinion. Best of luck whatever you decide!

  25. They aren't really my style but I know a lot of people who would like these. I have no experience of having to shops but wouldn't it be easier to have everyting in one shop? I don't know. :p
And my shop seems to be missing in your list on the right. http://www.greendragonbooks.etsy.com
